A few of us were left in the class while extension maths and kapa haka took place. We started by playing a game of 21 however we played in millions. This got us thinking about numbers and how to write them.
We interacted with a cool site called 'Scale of the Universe' then we used tape measures to check out the length of a giant earthworm.
Mrs H asked "Do you think we could fit an elephant or a giraffe in our room?" We found out they would fit sideways, but not standing up.
Next problem was how big is a T-Rex. We used our flagpole and a tape measure. We hooked it up and hoisted the tape measure up to see how tall it was. A T-Rex is approx. 7 metres tall.
There is a lot of math you used nice work(Dhannis)
