This week we have been learning how to draw maori gods related to the hangi. ( Tangaroa-god of the sea, Rongo - God of grown food, Tawhirimatea-God of the wind, Haumia-God of wild food, Tane Mahuta-God of the forest, birds & animals.) Some of us didn't finish in time to be put up for the hangi but the ones that did looked amazing! First we did a plan, figured out how to draw them. Then we went onto our good copy, first in pencil. Then when we were happy with it we went over in sharpie then coloured in with pastels. We also folded the paper in half as a line of symmetry, we started with a heart for the mouth then eyes, head, arms, body & legs.
